Robert Lowry, MD
bio-LowryDr. Robert Lowry received his medical degree from George Washington University, after earning a Master’s in Neurophysiology from California State University at Long Beach.  His postgraduate training includes a Fellowship in Medical and Surgical Care of the Hand with the Hand Associates of South Texas and a residency in both general surgery and one in cardiothoracic surgery with the University of Texas Health Science Center.

He has worked at Alamo Healthcare Systems, the San Antonio Orthopedic Group, the Gould Group, and Texas Pain and Injury. Dr. Lowry has also authored several books, including Umbilical Cord Blood Viscosity as a Predictor of Development of Neonatal Polycythemia. He has also created two computer programs, one entitled Brain Games and another called Interactive Neuroanatomy.

Dr. Lowry is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management and is a member of many medical associations, including Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians, and the American Academy of Pain Management.

Dr. Lowry is the Founder of Alamo Healthcare Systems which was established in 1996.
