 Dr. Thimios D. Partalas is Alamo’s “Greek Doctor”, OPA!!! He was not born in Texas but he got here as fast as he could. Dr. Partalas came to San Antonio from the great white north - London, Ontario, Canada - where he was raised and obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology and Environmental Sciences from the well known Canadian University of Western Ontario in 1993. His first encounter with Texans was when he arrived in Dallas to attend Parker College of Chiropractic where he spent four years obtaining his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1997. After completing Chiropractic school he went back home to marry his high school sweet-heart Barbara. It was in 1997 when Dr. Partalas met Dr. Robert Lowry and decided that San Antonio was where they needed to be. Dr. Partalas has been with Alamo Healthcare since its inception. Since graduating from Chiropractic school Dr. Partalas has added more credentials under his belt as he continues his quest for the best treatments available for Alamo’s patients. He completed a two year specialty in Neurology and obtained his Board Certification through the American Chiropractic Neurology Board in 2005. Through the same board he obtained his certification in electro-diagnostics and is currently working on his board certification for Vestibular rehabilitation. Dr. Partalas received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hardin Simmons University, Abilene, Texas. His most recent accomplishment is the completion of the Family Nurse Practitioner program through Samford University, Birmingham Alabama. He currently serves as Team Chiropractor for the San Antonio Rampage Hockey Team, is on the board of the Texas Chiropractic Association, and is a diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management. He has also sat as a examiner for the National Chiropractic Board examinations. All of this education and training geared toward expanding his knowledge of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation has helped Dr. P become one of our most well rounded Doctor’s on our team. |
